The project is an extension of the TAT\u2019s existing \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/7greens.tourismthailand.org\/?lang=en\">7 Greens<\/a>\u2019 that planted the seed of green tourism activities in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-05-at-11.18.34.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1769\" src=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-05-at-11.18.34-1024x590.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2019-08-05 at 11.18.34\" width=\"1024\" height=\"590\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-05-at-11.18.34-1024x590.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-05-at-11.18.34-300x173.png 300w, https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Screen-Shot-2019-08-05-at-11.18.34.png 1642w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreen a-la-carte takes the concept a step further by letting tourists pick and choose their preferred tour programme that best fits their schedule while making \u2018Green Tourism\u2019 more approachable and enjoyable for visitors,\u201d Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Executive Director of Tourism Products Department, said. \u201cIt targets foreign free independent travellers (FITs) and domestic Thai tourists who have a special interest in Green Tourism.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A total of 14 provinces nationwide will be highlighted by region: <strong>North:<\/strong> Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Lampang; <strong>Northeast:<\/strong> Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, and Ubon Ratchathani; <strong>Central Region:<\/strong> Bangkok, Ayutthaya, and Samut Songkhram; <strong>East:<\/strong> Chon Buri and Trat; <strong>South:<\/strong> Surat Thani, Phang-nga, and Phuket.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is supported by 25 green a la carte menus (in both print and e-book format) highlighting more than 150 tourist attractions and services in the 14 targeted provinces. The print edition uses environmentally-friendly paper with 2,000 copies each in Thai and English. TAT is also producing 26 video clips that run between 2 to 3 minutes each. A total of 37 strategic partners (hotels, tourist attractions and services), all of which are legally registered tourism establishments or operators, are participating in the project.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4.png\" alt=\"4\" width=\"700\" height=\"372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4.png 700w, https:\/\/www.absoluteresorts.com\/our-stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/4-300x159.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The 25 Green-a-la-carte menus are grouped under five categories: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u2018Green Appetizer\u2019<\/strong> offers a combination of Green Heart + Green Attraction for tourists looking for a place to relax or chill-out; such as, beautiful countryside, indigenous seasonal flowers, and best sunrise or sunset spots for those who like to relax in a natural setting.<\/li>\n<li><strong> \u2018Green Main Course\u2019<\/strong> combines Green Heart + Green Logistics + Green Attraction + Green Activity for energetic travellers looking for soft-to-extreme adventure activities like forest treks, bird watching, bicycling, ziplines, and kayaking.<\/li>\n<li><strong> \u2018Green Combo Set\u2019<\/strong> recommends Green Heart + Green Logistics + Green Attraction + Green Community + Green Service for those who appreciate community-based tourism.
